A surprisingly good aid for any online slots player is a good night’s sleep

As might be expected, online slot games have a simplicity about them that can produce long marathon sessions lasting for hours. The monotony for some can be a source of relaxation for some, but it can become problematic to anyone who hasn’t gotten a proper amount of rest before gaming.
Researchers from Duke University observed the online gaming habits of 29 adults playing on separate days. One day they had been allowed to have a full night of sleep, the other day they had not. There proved to be a surprising correlation between how much sleep the gamers had and how much risk they were willing to take. MRI scans showed a substantial rise in the areas of the brain that assess positive outcomes in the players who did not receive much sleep the previous night.
The claim made by the researchers is that without sleep, the brain creates an “optimism bias.” This bias makes a person focus only upon positive outcomes while ignoring loss. The bias also affects the brain’s ability to judge the risks and potential impacts of any losses they may receive in the future. A well rested person can look at the odds and how their luck has played out thus far, and decide if they should or shouldn’t walk away with what they’ve got. A sleep deprived player almost completely lacks this capacity. Always remember, good sleep brings good gaming.
